What if I told you that most photographers and videographers are leaving tens of thousands of dollars on the table every single year because of one huge mistake they’re making: their offer

An offer (which you can think of as a “photography package”) can be the difference between making it as a photographer and going broke.

Let’s start by showcasing what a bad offer vs great offer looks like in terms of numbers.

 

Bad offer

Photos $100/ea

Average project size 5 photos = $500

1000 people see it

50 people say they’re interested

10% buy

5 x $500 = $2500

 

Great offer

Photo Package $2000 with tons of bonuses

Average project size $2000

1000 people see it

200 people say they’re interested

25% buy

Your offer is what the prospect sees when they first lay eyes on your portfolio. A great offer convinces them to book a call with you.

If we create an incredible offer and show it to 1000 people, more people will be interested in that incredible offer. Of those people interested, more are actually willing to buy that offer because it’s just that good.

High interest and higher percentage buying make us way more successful as photographers. And yes, I’m measuring success by dollar signs. More money lets us create better work, hire better talent, and support our families in ways we could only imagine.

That’s the power of a great offer. But how do we create one?

 

How We Can Begin Creating A Great Offer

At the core of an incredible offer, we have the Value Equation (thanks, Alex Hormozi):

Value = (Dream Outcome x Perceived Likelihood of Achievement)/(Time Delay x Effort & Sacrifice)

Let’s unpack this and see how it relates to photographers.

Dream Outcome - What is the client’s ultimate goal when working with us? The bigger the dream outcome, the more we can charge.

Perceived Likelihood of Achievement - How likely is it that the client will achieve their dream outcome when working with us? The more likely, the more we can charge.

Time Delay - How long does it take the client to get their dream outcome when working with us? In an ideal world, this would take 1 second after they sign the contract. Minimize this.

Effort & Sacrifice - How much work does the client have to do to work with us? Make it super easy for them to work with you.

Our goal is to maximize the top of the equation and minimize the bottom of the equation. And this is extremely hard to do. It took me months of trial and error to land on a perfect offer. And when I did, my business exploded. I was easily able to pull in $50k/quarter for multiple quarters in a row.
